I'm always thinking of things I want to blog about, randomly, throughout my day. But since its so rare that I have two hands available, nobody trying to close my laptop saying "Done! Done!" and the time and ability to stay awake...I don't get to type them out. So here I am. 3 kids sleeping, all in their own beds (I know, its a Saturday miracle!) and I'm drawing a blank. What was it I wanted to blog about again???
Hmm...just realized there are sticky fingerprints on my computer screen...wonder where those came from.
Bug is getting to be such a big boy. He amazes me and cracks me up everyday. He wants to go outside all.the.time. "Ouside! Ouside!" "Porch! Porch!" And oh my gosh is that kid SMART! The things he figures out and remembers and knows...the child will pass me up in intelligence by the time he's in elementary school, I swear. He remembers who got him gifts, who brought new things into the house, who was here and where they went afterwards. Everything that came in his Easter basket, everytime he uses one of the items, "Bunny!" My mom brought him some of those colored bubbles a few weeks ago (by the way, they stain badly!) and they only used them for about 5 minutes before setting them up on the back of the kitchen counter. He saw them like 2 weeks later..."Drammaw" (his word for Grandma). He talks all the time about "Aunt Yeesie" (my sister, Lisa) and "dousins" (cousins) and how they went down the road in their car to their home. He knows some of his colors, doesn't always get them right, but enough that I'm impressed for a 2 yr old. Can count to 2...after that we get random numbers...1, 2, 6, 4. Eh, close enough. And did I mention he repeats everything? EVERYTHING. Even if you say something under your breath...he HEARS it and SAYS it. I'm trying to work on my potty mouth :-/ I'm also trying to be careful not to talk badly about anyone in his presence...he's not quite there yet, but I know it won't be long until he starts repeating things like that. That would not be good. Another way that having kids is making me a better person. Its funny the way that works...when you want your kids to be a better person than you are and of course, leading by example is the best way, you are sort of forced to be better yourself. Its a good thing. I eat healthier, because I know that if I get a cookie out of the cabinet, he's going to want one too and I want him to have healthier eating habits than I do. Of course its a different story when he's not in the room, or after he's gone to bed...but as you always hear...eating healthier pretty quickly becomes habit. Maybe I'll be able to lose these 15 lbs that are still hanging around before long. I hope so, because I keep looking longingly at the "skinny wardrobe" that I had bought shortly before getting pregnant this time...I really liked it, I'd like to wear it again!!
The babies. They're 12 weeks old. Can you BELIEVE it?! Little Man is amazingly strong, pushing himself up on the floor like a champ, and he never stops moving. And oh how happy he is most of the time! Thank you Zantac! What a difference! Little Miss isn't quite as happy, but much happier than she was, and when she's in a good mood she just looks at you with those big eyes and smiles. Melts your heart. Oh, Little Man is a big smiler too. Big smiles that look like he's about to let out a big ole' belly laugh. And he coos! I don't remember Bug ever cooing. I remember reading about how babies were supposed to "coo" and I had no idea what they were talking about. But he does it, and it is too cute. Little Miss isn't quite there yet, but that's okay. They are definitely two very different kids. I love them so much. I'm really enjoying them now, which is awesome for someone who doesn't generally like the newborn stage. I put away their newborn clothes yesterday. Bittersweet. Happy, because they're growing (yes, my tiny babies wear newborn clothes MUCH longer than most babies do!) but sad, because I know its the last time I'll ever use those tiny little clothes. No, not sad enough to make me want more babies though. Big no on that!
Ok, I hear some stirring...maybe I'll write down some of the topics swirling around in my head from time to time so that next time I don't draw this blank!
Did I mention we're doing a real "bedtime" for the babies though? And they are only up once a night now...so the days of having a little downtime after kids are in bed and before I crash entirely...so very close. Yay!!!

We'll be in newborn clothes a while, too...I don't birth them big! Oddly, my term bio kids stayed in them longer than my preemie Ava--she chubbed right up nice and fast! :)
Glad things are going so well...time speeds by, that's for sure!
I love hearing about how everyone's kids are growing and doing - and WHAT they're doing! (much more interesting to me now that I have one of my own and like to talk about her all the time too!) ;) Like your Bug - Goose is cracking me up at this stage, and WOW - they sure are smart, and pick things up so quickly don't they?? I'm also working on MY potty mouth, because she's definitely repeating things... and not just right away, but she pops them out of the blue later!! EEEK! :) Thanks for the update - I'm going to check out your previous post now for the pics!! ;)
